SUMMARY OF APPLICATION GUIDELINES:
1. The BRSCR school code is 608632, but we also appear in the drop-down choice for Baton Rouge, Louisiana, schools. List Karen Vornkahl as the school contact.
2. The minimum loan amount is $1,000.
3. You can request additional funds to cover equipment, books, or other living expenses, up to 60% of the total requested tuition cost, not to exceed $6,000.
4. You are not penalized for requesting a full-funding loan. If Sallie Mae does not approve the full amount, they may make a counteroffer of a lesser amount.
5. The loan repayment period can be from 1 to 15 years. There is no prepayment penalty.
6. Request a disbursement date about 7 days before tuition is due if possible.
7. Sallie Mae offers several loan repayment options. Refer to the attached brochure.
8. This is an unsecured, credit-based loan. A credit history will be pulled, and interest rates will be determined based on individual credit histories and other criteria.
